The KamoMampe Foundation was established in 2016. It seeks to create a communal space where children can grow and not be weighed down by their circumstances. The core of the foundation is to incubate and integrate children and youth from previously disadvantaged communities.
The focus of the foundation is on skills development. It aims to afford young people the privilege and to offer them opportunities that were not present for them.
Seeks to ensure that all children attain excellence in all spheres of life.
To shape the future of children and youth in assisting them to discover their full potential.
To have programs that are sustainable and improve access to resources.
To grant opportunities to children and youth to achieve their goals and in future participate in contributing in different aspects of life.
To transform local communities and inspire children and youth to open their minds.
To solidify the aim of the swimming club, the theme of the year was 'Each One Teach One'. It provided swimming lessons for children in Rocklands and Bloemanda. With the guidance of Mr Lebo Khabola and his team, the seeds were planted.
Having been an actress, KamoMampe did countless CSI projects with numerous stakeholders all over the country. The highlight being able to witness the handover of affordable housing to mine workers. An ABSA, Dept. housing & Anglo platinum initiative.
This struck a nerve with her. When she became a mother, she decided to relocate to her hometown, Mangaung. She saw a need in her community. After experiencing the big city life, she noticed the disparities that exist in her area such that she needed to bridge the gap between the town and township.
Which eventually led to her wanting to establish her foundation. She is an agent of change, passionate about seeing children ingrown and reach their full potential.
The foundation does projects oriented around disadvantaged communities, especially for the youth, to equip them with life skills, education, business opportunities and more.
